As we inch closer and closer to June 21st, the days are getting longer and in general much warmer (sorry, Colorado, not the case for you this week). There’s nothing more summer in the south-western part of Virginia than to take off to the river with your best friends, some inner tubes and one killer playlist.
The epitome of the perfect summer song is that sense of nostalgia. The feeling of the wind blowing in your hair as you ride down a back road, your hand hanging out the car window and the sense of just being free. There are no worries at that moment, it’s just you, your buddies, and the open road. Or it’s a bonfire going and sitting around, trading stories and memories, laughing and reminiscing on simpler times.
Feel free to add your song below, but here are a handful of my favorite summer songs that makes me feel like summertime.
